Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CodeFirstAid's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CodeFirstAid.

Service Description

CodeFirstAid provides emergency technical support and code rescue services for Next.js, AWS, Stripe, and related technologies. Our services include:

  • Bug fixes and debugging
  • Production incident response
  • Code review and optimization
  • Technical consulting
  • Integration support

Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Pricing and Payment

Fixed Pricing

All services are offered at fixed prices as displayed on our pricing page. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upfront for Quick Fix and Deep Dive packages
  • Production Rescue requires 50% upfront, 50% upon completion
  • Monthly Retainers are billed on the 1st of each month
  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe
  • Late payments may result in service suspension

Service Level Agreement

Response Times

  • Quick Fix: Initial response within 2 hours
  • Deep Dive: Initial response within 4 hours
  • Production Rescue: Immediate response (24/7)
  • Monthly Retainer: Dedicated Slack channel with 1-hour response

Guarantees

We guarantee to resolve your issue within the scope defined in your service package. If we cannot resolve the issue, you will receive a full refund.

Limitations

  • Response times are measured during business hours (9 AM - 6 PM PST) unless Production Rescue
  • Complex issues may require multiple sessions
  • We are not responsible for third-party service outages

Code Access and Security

Access Requirements

You agree to provide necessary access to:

  • GitHub repositories or code hosting platform
  • AWS console (read-only access with temporary credentials)
  • Error logs and monitoring dashboards
  • Development or staging environments (never production without explicit approval)

Confidentiality

We treat all code and business information as confidential and will:

  • Never share your code with third parties
  • Use secure channels for all communications
  • Delete temporary access credentials after work completion
  • Sign NDA upon request at no additional charge

Intellectual Property

Your Code

You retain all rights to your codebase and intellectual property. Any modifications or fixes we make become part of your codebase and are owned by you.

Our Tools

Any proprietary tools, scripts, or methodologies we use remain our intellectual property. We may reuse debugging techniques across clients but never your specific code.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Reverse engineer or copy our service methodology
  • Resell our services without authorization

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for data loss (always backup your code)
  • We do not guarantee uptime or availability of third-party services

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CodeFirstAid harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services:

  • For violation of these terms
  • For non-payment
  • For abusive behavior toward our team
  • At our discretion with 30 days notice

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
